Still need to grade more, but got a lot done today.  I closed down the library... literally.  One of the librarians asked if she could help me carry my stuff out of the door.

Funeral

Went to a funeral of a high school student today.  Still don't understand this.

We had "birthday parties" in two of my classes, and called my mama in both of them.  She didn't answer the phone either time, though.  LOL!


My classes were just as excited to call my mom as I was.  The high schoolers asked me to SKYPE her.  LOL!  As if my mama knows what SKYPE is.

This is one of my favorite weeks.  I like to have my students say Happy birthday to my mother.  This year... I have class on that day!  So, excited!

Sad News...

Got some sad news over the weekend.  So heartbroken.  Can't even explain it?

Last Week

I was sick all last week.

Man... I didn't get to do my seminar for Collin.  I'm so upset!

I'm working to reschedule it.

Week 8

Nothing new to report.  I'm remembering my students names so far.  I know all of my Richland Campus students by site.  Yay!

Week 7

Things have been calm so far.  I'm getting behind on grading, as usual.

I really don't understand how I get behind on grading every semester, but I do.  I hear most teachers and professors say that they get behind as well.

One of these semesters I'm going to stay on time with my grading.

It's October...

It's October.  I'm glad, this means that the weather should get cooler, although with today's weather, I can't tell.  The state fair is going on.  Football season is in full swing.

Can't wait to see what the month will bring.

One Crazy Week...

This week has been all kinds of crazy...

On Thursday, had an emergency alarm go off at Richland.  Scared me to death because I didn't know what to do.  One students didn't come back in until close to the end of class.  Had me worried.

On Friday, while at the Richardson library, the fire alarm went off.  Apparently, some painters, who were in the elevator shaft spray painting, set off the alarm with the paint fumes.  It was a 20 minute wait.  I had to leave my stuff in the library.  Ugh!!

Rough Week...

It's been a rough week.  Allergies... Allergies... Allergies!

Relatively Calm Week

Things have been relatively calm this week.  Dealing with allergies, though.

Week 1 (Richland College)

Week 1 at Richland College is over.  IT was an interesting week.

There were hot rooms, technology that wasn't working, a forgotten USB drive, and driving around.  It was a good week.

I have some good students.  It will be interesting.  Getting ready for Week 2 @ Richland.

Collin College

Getting ready to begin the Fall semester at Collin.  The Adjunct faculty meeting was good.  I didn't like the food, but the meeting was okay.

They questioned the Chief of Police of the college like crazy about Conceal and Carry.  The people who were asking all the questions seemed very nervous about the law.  Not sure how I feel.

I got to see my dean.  She's amazing.  The divisional meeting was cool.  I got a pocket size stapler set for helping out the presenter.

I've decided to add Wix.com as an option for my 2311 class.  It's an e-portfolio platform.  I tried it before, but didn't like it, for some reason.  I'm gonna give it another try.
